I am not good at this...

Not good at blogging and keeping up with things...

More importantly, not good at this whole growing up thing. It happens so fast. I was just reminiscing with a friend about one of my favorite nights in college. Did you know that laundry detergent glows under a blacklight??? Well it does and if you don't mind the mess later, it turns into a lot of fun. I learned this almost 2 years ago... It feels like it was yesterday.

This week I learned of 1 new couple, 3 new engagements (+ a few that will be happening very soon), and 2 new babies that were brought into the world. So exciting for those people and for those of us around them!! Although of course that little green monster decided to make a bit of an appearance as well but what can ya do?

I had a talk with a friend a few weeks ago who said he cannot wait to be done with school and grow up. I looked at him bewildered and questioned why he was in such a hurry? He said he can't wait to have a job and a wife and kids. I began to realize that this was easy for him to say because he has the person he wants to do those things with. I told him I was no where near ready to be settled and for a second I almost believed myself.

For those of us who are still waiting - I mean, trying to be patient, we run into this awkward in between stage. Now, I have never been in a hurry to grow up. I cried when I left preschool, I cried when I left kindergarten, I probably would have continued to do so but I really didn't care for my first grade teacher... but I digress. The point is I never wanted to grow up. When Mom called me her Peter Pan child, it wasn't because I preferred that brand of peanut butter... But now, I see friends getting engaged and married and having kids and I have become a little bit wistful... doesn't help that I am obsessed with all things having to do with weddings. My only guess now is that God is having me wait so I can afford to pay for what is sure to be one of the most amazing weddings ever!

A lot to handle...

Procrastination always catches up to me.
Right now I am writing 5 papers that are past due. And have to be submitted today or they will not count. WHOOPS!

And here is a look into my weekend:
Friday... After an all night writing these papers I have to :
  • Go to the bank and deposit checks and also figure out why my debit card is not working.
  • Get the right paint to paint our apartment wall back to white... this makes me sad because the wall now is bright teal and gorgeous... the actual color is Under Water Wonders!
  • Go to Sprint and see if they can fix my stupid Blackberry.
  • And close the patio at Bubba Gumps. I could give up this shift but I desperately need the money and I already gave up my Saturday money making shift.
Saturday:
  • Make sure everything in my room and kitchen is completely packed. My room is mostly done but I have yet to touch the kitchen.
  • If and only if this gets done am I able to catch a ride with Katie and Georginia down to Alyssa Aviles' rad Grad party.
Sunday:
  • The parentals are picking me up from Alyssa's and we are driving back to move me out of my apartment and into my new house. ( I am planning on having a case of beer and a case of water in my fridge and that is  for whoever helps me move on Sunday.)
  • Move everything into the garage of my new house because I do not get my room until the following weekend (which happens to be grad weekend)
  • Come back to the apartment for some hard core cleaning action. Yippee.
I am exhausted already.

Back to those papers!!
